Source Code
What's it all about? An action thriller centered on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown man and discovers he is part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train.
Starring? Jake Gyllenhaal , Michelle Monaghan , Vera Farmiga
It was not exactly intended viewing I admit , more of a nothing else on - lazy Sunday afternoon watch. Fortunatley Source Code surprised me ; the plot being markedly complex for what I had assumed would be 93 minutes of generic cringe. Alas , it wasn't exactly Oscar worthy but it was somewhat impressive ; a good ending and a fair amount of twists and turns. Gyllenhaal gives a good performance , and its refreshing to see him back in good films rather than 'Love and other drugs'. Ben Ripley's plot held the right balance of complexity , emotion , charm and action. Duncan Jones' direction is also note worthy , plenty of well filmed action sequences. An easy watch that won't leave you bored , recommended watching.
